GetPRO Named as Official Partner of Team GB for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

The year-long partnership will see Danone’s protein brand become the Official Yoghurt Partner of Team GB.

Team GB has named GetPRO, Danone UK & Ireland’s newest addition to its family of brands, as its Official Yoghurt Partner for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The partnership will see the two organisations work together to champion a healthy lifestyle* and raise awareness of the importance of a nutritious and protein-rich diet in maintaining and growing muscle mass.

Over the course of the next year, GetPRO - which first launched in stores in September 2023 - will be working with Team GB to support their athletes as they prepare to compete at Paris 2024 next summer. They will be promoting the partnership via shopper marketing, OOH, social, digital, ecommerce, earned and influencer marketing. From February 2024, Team GB will feature on-pack across GetPRO’s protein rich range.

Designed for people who want to get more out of their workouts*, the GetPRO range features eleven high-protein snacks including delicious and healthy yoghurts, puddings, and mousses. One of the biggest launches from Danone in the UK in recent years, GetPRO’s mission is to support people on their fitness journeys* and provide educational and motivational resources to demonstrate the benefits of protein.

Further detail on which athletes will be supporting the partnership will be announced in the coming months.

Tim Ellerton, Team GB’s Commercial Director, said: “At Team GB we firmly believe that our athletes can play an important role in championing the health and wellbeing of the nation, so we’re delighted to be working with GetPRO as we prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

“Maintaining a healthy and nutritious diet is an essential part of our athletes’ preparation for the Olympics, and the support of GetPRO is a further demonstration of our commitment to helping athletes excel next summer."

Also speaking about the partnership, Tom Hickton, Category Director, Yoghurts, Danone UK & Ireland said: "We are all extremely proud to be partnering with Team GB, and to support the athletes who will be representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. At Danone we believe in the importance of food and nutrition in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. We know that protein is an essential part of a healthy diet, and by working with Team GB we hope more people will discover the important role that protein plays, whether it’s helping to push their physical fitness to its absolute peak as Team GB athletes will do in Paris 2024, or supporting them on their own exercise journey and achieving their own fitness goals. We have launched GetPRO because we believe it is a delicious way of getting more from your workout and we are honoured that Team GB agree.”
