Our approach to learning and development and career progression is what, we believe, makes us unique as an employer.
In Danone UK, how far you progress and where your career takes you is only as limited as your aspirations. International careers, cross-functional working, autonomy and responsibility at an early stage are all realities. In 2007, almost a quarter of our employees were promoted and approximately 88 per cent of our appointments are filled by internal promotions.
All employees receive an annual Personal Development Review, tied in to individual Development Plans. These help you to plan your career path, and the competencies you need to develop to get there.
We have a number of learning and development opportunities to help bring out your best. One is the Danone Academy. Held in the UK and at campuses across Europe, you will attend a mix of 'filieres' or modules aimed at building your functional and general management skills.
Other courses and ad hoc training add up to approximately 30 hours of training per person per year. There are also opportunities and tools to help you build a network of colleagues from across Groupe Danone to share knowledge and best practice.
