Emma - Danone UK

In January 2010, I was promoted to Commercial Director of Danone UK. My seven years have been an extraordinary journey to the Board. I joined Danone in 2003 as a Customer Business Manager and was promoted to a Senior Account Manager within 7 months.

Danone recognises hard work and passion and the company is not afraid to fast-track an employee's career. As a line manager, I am expected to do the same for my team, recognise talent and ensure it is best placed to continue bringing success to our business. My personal experience at Danone is that if you want it, then the sky really is the limit.

James - Danone Waters

I have been with Danone for 7 years, having joined the Danone Waters UK team in 2003. I started life in the Impulse sales team, establishing the Impulse Retail sector, then moved on to manage the Grocery business. In 2007 I moved to a corporate role based in Paris, with responsibility for global sales development for the Waters business.

I returned to the UK mid 2008 as Commercial Director for Waters.

Working for Danone means working in a high energy, entrepreneurial environment which helps enable everyone to take ownership and make a genuine impact on the business. This leads to great personal development opportunities and the opportunity to gain a wide variety of cross functional, project or internationally based experience.

Charline - Dairy and Waters

By today’s standards spending 12 years in any one organisation is an outstanding achievement and for me this stands testament to the fact that I have never had the opportunity to get bored or feel under valued at Danone. My career has been exciting and varied.

Formally qualified in HR, my roles have spanned delivering internal communications including developing and designing web sites, successfully relocating international employees, managing and developing our management reporting and process systems which drive both our finance and supply chain functions and mananging our learning and development programme.

Danone has given me every opportunity to achieve by not only exposing me to a multitude of different functions, but also by giving me the opportunity of returning to university as a full time student in order to achieve my Masters degree.

I continue to constantly learn and develop new skills and HR at Danone remains an exciting environment, because no matter what level you are we are all given the same exposure and encouragment to carry out our day to day roles with the business strategy front of mind. With this approach everyone is working towards the same goal and we ensure that we are recruiting the right people for the right job every step of the way.

David - Danone Waters

I have enjoyed a varied and international career in my 21 years since joining Danone in 1988. Originally I trained for marketing, with my earliest role as marketing manager for HP sauce, followed by a Paris-based role as international marketing manager for the group's grocery brands.

In 1997 I transferred to the USA, where I was introduced to the beverages industry through a regional and later national accounts sales role.

Returning to the UK in 2000, I enjoyed four successful years as Marketing Director of Danone Waters UK, overseeing strong growth of the Evian and Volvic brands. More recently, I have become responsible for Danone Waters worldwide sustainable development strategy - where today - I lead projects to develop understanding of the fundamental benefits of healthy hydration and the important role of bottled water in public health.
