Eat like a
champ
1 in 4 adults in the UK qualify as being overweight or obese and as a result 30% of children between the ages of 2-15 are too (Department of Health). Children are facing nutritional problems from a younger age and often fail to understand the impact of this on their future. We believe that to fulfill our mission to bring health through nutrition to the largest number of people in the UK, we need to play a role in developing awareness and understanding of healthy eating and drinking, by making it interesting and accessible, especially for children.
The objective of our programme, 'Eat Like a Champ', is to help children understand the benefits of being fit, eating and drinking well and encourage them to adopt the same healthy lifestyles as the sports champions they admire.
It works together with schools, sports clubs and sporting heroes to provide, through interactive tools, an inspiring experience to educate and bring to life the idea of eating healthy foods, drinking water, keeping hydrated and participating in physical activity.
We’ve partnered with the Department of Health and their Change4Life programme in order to maximise our impact, as well as working with Continyou, whose mission it is to develop effective community programmes to tackle poverty.
